FINAL YEAR MBBS STUDENT
SETH GS MEDICAL COLLEGE AND KEM HOSPITAL,MUMBAI, India
My name is Jash Yogesh Shah, a final year medical student from Seth GS medical college and King Edward Memorial Hospital. I have been studying myeloma under the guidance of Dr. Bhausaheb Bagal (MD hematologist, oncologist) from Tata memorial hospital. During my MBBS course, I found great interest in the pathology and management of cancers of different types. This led to the opportunity of researching treatment and outcomes of patients with myeloma, a devastating disease for most. Through a lot of hard work and retrospective data collection, we have compared our data with other literature and found a lot to be improved upon while dealing with myeloma. Overall the entire process of learning about myeloma, observing patients and their complete hospital course has taught me invaluable lessons in the field of hematology. With great respect for my mentor, I hope to emulate the same passion and commitment to patient care that I have witnessed and learned under expert guidance. I envision a future where the treatment landscape for multiple myeloma in India continues to evolve, offering more effective and accessible options for those in need. I would hope to catch the attention of people with the current state of treatment modalities and survival studies in India for newly diagnosed multiple myeloma.
