I completed my graduation from St Johns Medical College,Bangalore, followed by Internal Medicine training from Gauhati Medical College,Assam. After my Internal medicine residency, I worked as a Senior Resident in Department of Hematology at Gauhati Medical college for a year. I did my DM hematology training from AIIMS, New Delhi.
I am passionate about Myeloma research and treatment. I am the Clinical lead for myeloma and lymphoma program at Fortis Memorial research Institute. Our team at Fortis works towards developing indigenous and cost effective solutions for myeloma diagnosis and treatment. My vision is to make hematology care and Bone marrow transplant accessible to remote areas in the country. Our team runs hematology clinics at various remote areas in North and central India and also conduct Hematology tumour boards and outreach programs . I strongly believe Artifical Intelligence based models can play a big role in making hematology care accesible to the masses.I have also been fortunate to be involved in many projects looking at strategies to reduce GVHD and hospital readmission rates in Haploidentical transplants, alternate immunosuppression in patients intolerant to CNI, post transplant maintenance strategies to reduce relapse rates in acute leukemia patients, studying disease biology in Myeloma patients under 40 among many others.
