Ms. Harneet Kaur is a Ph.D student in the Department of Nuclear Medicine, PGIMER, Chandigarh, India. Her research is focused on the use of non-invasive receptor targeted imaging approach for accurate tumor burden assessment in multiple myeloma patients. Harneet has completed her BSc Medical from Guru Nanak Girls College, Yamunanagar, Haryana, India and Master in Zoology honors from Panjab University Chandigarh, India. She also worked as a Junior Research Fellow in a DST-SERB project for two years during which she gained experience in molecular techniques. Her PhD thesis work is to evaluate the potential of 68Ga-Pentixafor PET/CT for in vivo imaging of CXCR4 receptor expression pre and post therapy in multiple myeloma patients and its comparison with 18F-FDG PET/CT which is the preferred modality for response assessment in multiple myeloma. She has 6 research articles as a co-author, 2 book chapters and 6 conference abstracts published. She has presented her work in national/international conferences and has received Alavi-Takalkar-Kumar Award 2023 for 1st Best Molecular Imaging & Therapy Paper 2023 in SNMICON 2023 – 55th Annual conference of the Society of Nuclear Medicine India held at AIIMS Jodhpur, India from 16th-19th November, 2023. She has also been awarded CSIR International Travel Grant for poster presentation in EANM 2022- Annual Congress of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine held in Barcelona, Spain from October 15th-19th, 2022. Apart from academic work, she engages herself in co-curricular activities such as dancing and painting.
