Damian Green, MD is a Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Transplantation and Cell Therapy at the University of Miami/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. He also serves as the Assistant Director for Translational Research at Sylvester. His NIH funded laboratory is focused on translational immunotherapy where he has developed new approaches to treat multiple myeloma and other cancers of the blood/bone marrow. Over the past two decades, he has held 3 INDs, designed novel radioimmunotherapeutics, and developed the first in human clinical trials combining gamma secretase inhibitors with BCMA targeted cellular therapy. His practice involves stem cell transplant, adoptive cellular therapy and the clinical management of patients across the spectrum of plasma cell disorders. He has served as PI on multiple early phase clinical trials. Dr. Green has authored over 100 publications in the peer-reviewed literature.
Dr. Green completed medical school, residency and served as Chief Resident at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. He then completed fellowship at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center training under the late Dr. Oliver Press. He led the translational myeloma program at Fred Hutch before his move to Miami in March 2024.
