Prof. Hang Quach is professor of haematology, University of Melbourne and Head of Department & Director of Research at St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. She leads the myeloma program at SVHM and the clinical trials unit with over 130 active phase 1 (first in human) to phase III clinical trials of novel therapies including CAR-T cells, T cell engagers and small molecules for multiple myeloma. She serves as chair of the Myeloma Working Group of the ALLG (Australasian Lymphoma Leukaemia Group) and deputy chair of the Myeloma Scientific Advisory Group (MSAG) for Myeloma Australia, where she leads the development and biennial update of the Australian National Treatment Guideline for Multiple Myeloma. She has been faculty member for IMS since 2021, and ASH Clinical Research Training Institute (CTRI) since 2021. Her clinical research is focused on establishing regionally relevant clinical trials that can be translated to practice in the APAC region. Thus far, she has established 8 phase I to III investigator-initiated myeloma studies that were carried out across Australia, New Zealand, and in collaboration with partners of the Asia Myeloma Network. To date, her research activities in myeloma have been recognized through awards, grants, and funding to a total of over 16 million AUD (12.3 million AUD as chief investigator). She has co-authored over 375 publications on research gate in multiple myeloma, with a Scopus H-index of 34 and over 8000 citations.
