Verónica González de la Calle works as a Hematologist at the Myeloma Unit, University Hospital of Salamanca where she carries out care and research work in the field of multiple myeloma and AL amyloidosis. With a PhD in Medicine, she has focused her research activity on monoclonal gammopathies, making multiple communications at national and international conferences, as well as publications in international journals. During 2016 and 2017 she did a research fellowship at the Mayo Clinic (Scottsdale, AZ) where she participated in several research studies in the field of genetic diagnosis in lymphoid neoplasms. She has participated in multiple clinical trials as a subinvestigator in multiple myeloma and as a principal investigator in amyloidosis. She is coordinator of several clinical trials of the Spanish Myeloma Group (GEM), member of the Spanish Society of Hematology (SEHH) and of the European Hematology Association (EHA), participating during the year 2018 in the European EHA-CRTH program for training in clinical research.
